Nickolas Roy & Scott Laverdure Scholarship Fund
On July 31, 2022, a tragic accident claimed the lives of two close friends, Nickolas Roy and Scott Laverdure, both just 22 years old. Their friendship began and flourished on the basketball courts and was strengthened by their shared dream of serving their country.
While attending Murdock High School in Winchendon, MA, Nick and Scott joined the Marine Corps Delayed Entry Program, a testament to their commitment and character. After graduation, Scott proudly served four years in the United States Marine Corps.
To honor their memory and carry forward their spirit of teamwork, perseverance, and service, we established the Nickolas Roy & Scott Laverdure Scholarship Foundation.
Our mission is to celebrate Nick and Scott’s legacy by giving back to others — providing scholarships to deserving student-athletes and sending care packages overseas to support our active-duty military members. Through these efforts, we aim to continue the compassion, dedication, and community spirit that both Nick and Scott embodied.
